About Me
I’m Kayleigh, I have a lifetime of dog ownership (the classic old photo is 2 year old me with our dearly loved family greyhound Shamu, the first thing I did every morning was cuddle her!)

I have over 13 years of experience working within the dog walking/pet care industry for myself and with other dog walking/pet care businesses.
Along with 17 years and counting working and volunteering within animal charities both in the UK and in Australia whilst I lived there for 4 years.
​
Animal charities and promoting the “adopt don’t shop” mantra is something I am hugely passionate about. There are so many dogs and cats in need of a loving home currently in rescue centres and within the foster care system of animal rescue groups. During these tough times they need our help more than ever.

A breed I am also extremely happy to talk about all day long is greyhounds. I grew up with them, and have worked with the rescue and rehabilitation of ex-racing greyhounds, setting up my own rescue group whilst I lived in Australia which is still going from strength to strength today.
Jasper Tails
Jasper Tails is named after my beloved and sadly no longer with us miniature dachshund Jasper Maher.
He was a truly special little dog who travelled extensively and lived on both sides of the world. He had a very unique and intelligent personality, he was so in tune with human emotions knowing just when I needed lots of comfort and cuddles.

Jasper was also a guiding force in helping other rescue dogs I fostered and adopted over a number of years to adapt to pet life. Showing them calmness and his way of living life.. eat, sleep repeat mostly!
About Me
The love of his life however was Bella another miniature dachshund who was rescued in Australia at the age of 8, she hadn’t had the best life and didn’t know what a loving home felt like.
Within weeks Jasper had taken to her and showed her the meaning of being a pampered pooch, she went on to live another wonderful 8 years, they could always be found curled up next to each other.
Jasper is dearly missed every single day but his memory will forever live on, there will definitely never be another Jasper!
I have two rescue dogs of my own - 16 year old chihuahua cross Lucie & 5 year old chihuahua Oscar.
